Welcome to the blog of a shopping addict/fashionista wanna be
I just wanted to tell you a little bit about me and the purpose of me starting this blog. Hi I'm Kellyanne, I'm 29 and I like to shop (I'm now waiting for you all to say, "Hi Kellyanne"). I have been in love/addicted to clothing as far back as I can remember. I love the feel of the fabric, the fit, the style, the shape... I love it all. Ok, I don't love all clothes. There are certain things you'll never see me wear and you'll get to know that as my blog posts continue.
What I'm hoping to accomplish is 1. to give myself a creative outlet 2. give others ideas of what is in and how to wear it 3. help you dress stylish on a limited budget. I'm always looking for sales! 4. I see girls doing this on pinterest and they're cute but, they are all a size 1 showing you cute clothes on their cute bod, I have a "curvy" figure and I feel like the average woman can relate more to my body type 5. I think it will be fun
Where did I come up with the name you ask? I was discussing the start of this blog and I had let them know some styles that I was really liking and I mentioned how I saw a sweatshirt at Forever 21 that had sequins all over it and how I felt like that shirt encompassed that all I am in fashion. I like the glitz and the glam but, I also like comfort (I thought the name sweatpants and sequins sounded better than sweatshirts) As I type I'm wearing a neon orange LOVE PINK tee shirt from Victoria Secret that I got on sale for $12.99 and some lace on top black yoga pants I got at target for $9.99. I'm comfy yet, if the zombie apocalypse were to happen now, I'd at least have a cute outfit to go run around in (yes, I think like that) So, I think that is all I wanted to say as a brief introduction to myself and blog. I hope you enjoy! Ps, the sweatshirt in this picture is Juicy Couture which is out of my price range but, it's still very, very adorable!

I like stripes
Hi everyone, still getting used to this blog formatting, it's really user friendly but, I can't quite get the comment part down yet. I added a spot to comment and I hope that works. I just wanted to get a few pictures of me and my outfits so you see that I do wear more than just sweats ;) I'll tell you a few things I'm into right now. Here we go: 1. Stripes!! I know stripes have been in for a few years but, right now, you can wear stripes on top, bottoms, all over the place! I've even gone so far as to redecorate my bedroom in them. Here is are a few pics I took of myself on Sunday. I was rocking the red lips and stripes. For those of you who aren't sure how to wear bright lipstick, a good tip is to make the rest of make up more subtle. So, very little on your eyes and all the attention will go to your lips. :)
2. I'm also so in love with floral denim. I know, it's very 1990's but, it's really feminine and fun. I know have 3 pairs. I've been searching for some for a few months but, at first only the designer jean brands like seven and citizens had the florals but, they were going to be over $100. The thing is, they are super trendy and next fall I might think, "Why on earth was I wearing floral denim" So, I finally found some at more affordable stores like rue 21 and target. Those stores take a little longer to jump on the trend wagon. I'm ok spending less for these trendy pants. What else?? 3. Oh of course I am loving the J crew bubble necklace. It's such a beautiful statement piece. I have 2 knock offs of those, one turquoise which is my favorite color in the world and one yellow because it's fun and more of a challenge to pair with my clothing. I have other statement necklaces too. I pick them based on colors that attract me. And price of course. 4. I am loving the block colored tops. Those are the ones that have bold colors in them. You can pair them with a colored bottom or if you're unsure, pair them with a denim or neutral bottom.
Here are a few outfits I've been rocking lately. I hope you like them!

I like White Pants
This is me at my salon. I've got my white pants, some hot pink sandals from Target $14.99, a beautiful high/low top I got at boutique called Amara and my Jcrew knockoff necklace.
I have always been a fan of white pants. I believe I have had a pair in every style and season. When Bermuda shorts are in, I have a white pair. When wide leg pants are in, I have a white pair. I just think they are so classy looking and you can wear them with anything, I mean ANYTHING. They sharpen any outfit. And no, that old "Can't wear white pants after labor day" rule is no longer around. It's all about what you pair it with. Imagine how cute you would look in the fall pairing your white pants with worn in brown boots, a chunky brown/tan sweater? See, you can wear white pants year round. This year my white pants are from Forever 21 and they were only $15.50 regular price. I should have bought a few more pairs, I wear them all the time but, they need washing and drying after each wear.
Another reason to love white pants....
How about if you find a pair of white pants that you love but, you don't feel confident in them or you're like me and you have So. Many. White. Pants. Already, well here is something I did with a pair of mine. I had bought some Old Navy Rockstar fit cream colored jeans. I thought they'd be really fun and a little bit of a fun alternate to my stark white pants. I did a big no/no and bought them without trying them on. I wore them out on a date with my boyfriend and some of his friends. I had them paired with a bright yellow over sized sweatshirt, that sounds bad but, it's really cute. I'll have to snap a picture of it. Ok moving on... we were at a restaurant, I excused myself to use the restroom. When I was washing my hands I noticed this restroom had mirrors everywhere... from the sink mirror I spotted the back of me in a mirror behind me. The way those jeans made my bum look almost made me cry. Ladies, please try on all your jeans!! Now, I know some of you (my sisters...) will say, "old navy jeans give you "mom" butt, that's not the case with all pairs. I have some that are flattering on me. I believe it was the color that made me look so bad in them. So, I did what any crafty girl would have done. I bought some Rit dye and colored them. I took step by step photos and then picframed them all together. I chose purple but, the trick was, I didn't add that much dye to the wash. I wanted them to be very pastel. I wish I had a booty before and after shot but, there is no way I would ever show you how awful my butt looked that night.
